1. What we collect

When you use Code Humanizer, we collect:

• Account information — Email address, username, and encrypted password when you sign up
• Usage data — Language selected, style preset used, intensity level, number of lines processed. We do NOT store your actual code.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information for security and abuse prevention

2. What we do NOT collect

• We do not store, log, or retain any code you submit (code sent to our AI-powered tools is passed to our AI provider to produce the result — see section 6)
• We do not store humanized output
• We do not share your data with third parties for advertising
• We do not use your code to train AI models

3. How we use your data

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Track usage limits and enforce fair use
• Improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns
• Send important account notifications (no marketing emails without consent)
• Prevent abuse and protect against fraud

4. Data storage and security

Your account data is stored in encrypted databases. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

5. Cookies

We use localStorage for authentication tokens and simple preferences. We use Google Analytics, which sets analytics cookies, to understand how visitors use the site (for example, page views and whether someone ran the tool or signed up). Your code is never sent to Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

6. Third-party services

We use Google Analytics as described in section 5. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to the authentication process. We only receive your email address and display name from Google — no additional data.

Our AI-powered tools, such as the Code Explainer, send the code you paste to Anthropic, which runs the AI model that writes the result. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train models on this data, and may keep it for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring. Our other tools and the Humanizer run on our own servers and send your code to no one.

7. Data retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Usage metadata is retained for up to 90 days for analytics. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account
• Export your account data
• Object to processing of your data

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
